Mind
in Waltham Forest is a local mental health organisation affiliated to
Mind (National Association for Mental Health). We
currently offer the following services:
HOUSING The Forest Community Project is a supported housing project for people
with abiding mental health problems.
COUNSELLING
The Community Counselling Service is a short-term one-to-one counselling
service that is free. We offer one hour sessions on Monday to Friday
starting
at 10:15am
and
finishing
at
9:15pm. On Saturday starting at 10:15am and finishing at 1:45pm.
DAYCARE
The Sunday Lunch Club offers a two-course meal at an affordable
price. It is open from 11:30am to 2:30pm,
with
lunch
served
at
1:15pm.
The Marshall
Centre
is also open for club members
to watch videos or to make use of computers. The lunch club is also a
supported employment scheme, offering a real work experience on a therapeutic
earnings basis.
CENTRE The Marshall Centre and Dove Cafe offers a variety of conferencing,
training and counselling rooms that can accommodate between 2 and 40
people. These
rooms are available
for hire either for regular meetings or as a one-off event.
